As one of our Coach Drivers, you’ll be much more than a driver – you’ll be the face of Pearces. Every journey is an opportunity to provide a professional, friendly, and memorable experience for our customers, whether you’re transporting a school group, welcoming corporate clients, or taking passengers on a day out.

  • Safely operate our modern coaches on a wide variety of private hire, school, corporate, excursion, and contract work.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for every passenger from the moment they board until they reach their destination.
  • Represent Pearces professionally at all times, acting as an ambassador for our business.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, passengers, tour organisers, and colleagues.
  • Work confidently on your own while maintaining close communication with our Operations team.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure your coach remains clean, tidy, and well-presented throughout every journey.
  • Drive safely and responsibly, complying with all road traffic legislation and company policies.
  • Be flexible to work a varied shift pattern, including weekends, evenings, and occasional overnight work where required.

Screening Call – A short conversation with one of our recruitment team to discuss your experience and answer any questions.

Assessment Day – If successful, you’ll be invited to our Didcot depot where you’ll complete:

  • A driving assessment.
  • A highway code assessment
  • A short interview.

We’ll let you know the outcome as quickly as possible.

  • A valid PCV licence (Category D).
  • Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • A professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.
  • Pride in maintaining high standards for both yourself and your vehicle.
  • A safe driving record with no more than six penalty points and no serious driving convictions.
  • Flexibility to work a range of duties to meet customer needs.
